The obtained results reveal that energy production from biomass is strategically, socially and environmentally justified even at moderately higher prices than the energy obtained by combustion of fossil originated fuels. However, our analysis shows that the price of biomass energy of 1.261 din/kWh (0.0167 EUR/kWh) is competitive with the prices of other energy sources. Further commercial and technological development of biomass production will lead to a decrease in the price of biomass energy. However, individual efforts of biomass producers are not enough to achieve the anticipated decrease of prices without appropriate support of society and government.
