Arsenijevic, M.(Poljoprivredni fakultet, Novi Sad (Serbia))
Many fungal species attack blackberry plants in Serbia causing tissue necrosis and wilting of canes diseased. In this paper disease symptoms, morphological, cultural and other properties of the six species investigated are given. Namely, besides Septocyta ruborum, Gnomonia rostellata, Phomopsis spp., and Didymella applanata whose characteristics as blackberry pathogens were given earlier (Arsenijevic, 2006), Seimathosporium lichenicola, Botryospaeria dothidea, Botryosphaeria obtusa, Coniothyrium fuckelii, Sphaceloma necator and Botrytis cinerea are also very frequent in blackberry plantations causing economically important necrotic lesions and dieback of canes diseased.
