2006
Keca, N.(Sumarski fakultet, Beograd (Serbia))
Species of genus Armillaria are present in forests, parks and orchards worldwide. Earlier, it was through that only Armillaria mellea caused damages in plants, but recent studies showed that these damages are the complex of at least six species from genus Armillaria which have similar ecological requirement and which differ in pathogenicity. Armillaria species cause decay of root system and lower part of tree trunk, but can also cause decline of susceptible trees and shrub species. In this paper were presented symptoms of Armillaria attacks, disease development and spread and possibilities for control of these fungi.
