A study of crop rotation and irrigation effects on chernozem structure was carried out at the Rimski Sancevi Experimental Field of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, Serbia. Better arrangement of structural aggregates in the plot of wheat and soybean compared with maize point to that those field crops have more influence on the soil structure. Tha calculated structure coefficient values (k) were higher in the irrigated treatment than in the nonirrigated one. The results of wet seiving in the 0-60 cm layer were indicative of excellent stability of structural macroaggregates against dissolution in water in the irrigated treatment and of good stability in the nonirrigated.
