From the comparison results that prices of Slovak agricultural producers are widely lower than in other V4 countries. This fact could be confirmed also by the OECD analyses comparing prices of member states and support measures of agriculture through higher prices paid to farmers. Input prices of agricultural primary production of Slovakia reach the same (mostly) or higher level. Costs refundment of input prices through output prices (terms of trade) suggests indirect relative taxation of Slovak agriculture compared with other V4 countries. By lower prices of agricultural products and comparable prices of bought production means, facilities for generation of gross value added of Slovak producers are lower than in compared countries. Opportunity for upward trend of agricultural raw materials and foodstuffs is relatively limited because of the low level of wages and other gains of inhabitants. This level is the lowest within V4 countries and it will remain unchanged in the beginning period of Slovakia¦s membership in the EU. Because of this, in the future budget transfers will be relatively more important for Slovak sector economy than in the adjacent new member states. Against this background it is possible to explain substantial vulnerability concerning an amount of direct aids eventually of national compensatory additional payments for Slovak agriculture in the transition period.
