During the experiment we investigated morphological and functional condition of hepatocytes by dairy cows in early lactation. For this experiment we chosed 20 cows of Holstein breed in period after parturition 3 to 7 days. Cows divided into two groups. Group of health cows (n=10) and group with clinical signs of ketosis (n=10). We took samples of hepatic tissue and blood samples. On the results obtained it is concluded that in ketotic cows is presence of fatty infiltration and hepatocyte degeneration. Hypoglycemia, hypoalbuminemia and hypocholesteremia by ketotic cows show decrease of syntetic function of hepatocytes, very important increase of concentration total bilirubin and activity AST in blood serum, as important positive correlation among activity AST in blood and content fat in liver and disturbance of morphological integrate of hepatocytes by ketotic cows.
