Analysis of technical and technological parameters of the work of harvester Valmet 911.1 and forwarder Valmet 840.1

Technical and technological analysis of efficiency and total technological effectivity of harvester Valmet 911.1 and forwarder Valmet 840.1 on felling, processing and wood skidding in younger thinnings (to 50 year) in conifer stand is presented in this paper. There was confirmed high harvester efficiency when by an average trees volume 0,16 cubic m processed in average 42 trees with total volume 6,40 cubic m per hour. During 2-3 operation shift achieve all-day efficiency 70-120 cubic m processed wood. Research confirmed that is very important correctly creat model of efficiency harvester also forwarder for concrete place of work. Large forwarder Valmet 840.1 with its efficiency on observated place of work was a little overequipped compared to harvester. Valid fact, that also in difficult submountain and mountain condition of central Slovakia using of integrated feeling-transporting technologies based on multioperating machines is possible system of wood technical production, was confirmed. Adventage of machine work compare to live human labor, is not only in high productivity (8-10x greater than motomanual work). Aspects of high culture and work safety, also especially fact, that high sofistic modern machines make fundamentally low enviromental load than classical technology, in final effect is important with new technology introduction.
