KU 19 white seed sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is the pure line cultuvar was developed from Kasetsart University Sesame and Safflower Breeding Project at National Corn and Sorghum Research Center (Suwan Farm), Pakchong, Nakhonratchasima. KU 19 was selected from the cross KUdt4041-15/UCR-11-ns by pedigree method in 1991. KU 19 plant is single stem in apparent medium height with medium leaves size at the bottom and narrow leaves at the middle at top of the stem. Leaves and capsules arrangement are opposite with alternate allowing more than average light penetration. KU 19 expressed the larger seed size with 3.20 g of 1,000 seed, good yield potential and tolerant to saline soil.
