Efficacy of certain plant extracts to control Tetranychus urticae Koch of Chrysanthemum sp.

This experiment was conducted in Lampang Agricultural Research and Training Center between December 2000 to February 2001 with 56 kind of plant extracts were use of control Tetranychus urticae Koch on Chrysanthemum sp. (Golden Van Langen Varieties) finding that T. urticae were killed by Sophora tomentosa and Eugenina caryophyllata Thunb 90 percent and 69.5 percent respectively. The other extracts killed T. urticae less than 40 percent in 24 hours after that bring the best result treatment in laboratory to control T. urticae in green house, 24 hours after sprayed with extracts of citronellol oil, E. caryophyllata, Derris, S. tomentosa, Citronellol grass and control have found that a number of mite on a flower were 1.3 2.3 10.3 10.8 12.0 and 13.0 body/one flower respectively. Using citronella oil and E. caryophyllata can decrease number of mite has different from sprayed with Derris, E. caryophyllata, Derris, S. tomentosa, Citronellol grass and control. The number of mite on flowers the 10 Chrysanthemum varieties were Khaw Khaiyw, Sunny Puma, Puma, Laman, Rivary, Klondike, Golden Van Langen, Ellen Van Langen, Dark Lineker and Salmon Lineker have different number of mite often flower were 11.3, 20.0, 23.5, 31.8, 33.5, 43.0, 31.8, 74.3, 111.0 and 116.5 body/ one flower respectively.
