Impacts of forestland allocation on land tenure and labor gender based redistribution among people of Muong communities in Hoabinh province

This paper is dealing with an analysis of the changes in land use among Muong people after forestland allocation accomplished. The analysis was focused on three issues: 1.Scheme for land use; 2.Land use right and perception of Muong people on land use right; and 3.Labor gender based redistribution among people of Muong communities after forestry land allocated. The findings showed that land allocation policy has brought about a significant change in land use pattern. There has been the changes in land use scheme. The objective of forestry land allocation is to effectively promote the development of rural forestry. At present the forest invironment has been better conserved and developed at Suoibu community. Jobs for farmers and thus working time of women were increased. It is expected that income of farmer will be steadily improved.
