Investigation on drying of food products in convection drier using an air solar collector

The purpose of this investigation has been to establish the practically possible mode parameters and to do a preliminary selection of food products suitable for drying by using such type of drier and drying mode. The experimental results obtained have ben graphically presented by means of drying curves, speed of solar radiation change during the experimental period and drying agent temperature for each one of the experiments. The mode characteristics of the experiments carried out have been presented in table form. It has been established that the drying chamber load has an impact upon the duration of the process and the speed of drying during the first period.
