Twenty two varieties of perspective red currants introduced from different geographical zones were the objects of the research (Russian Federation, Latvia, France, the Netherlands, Poland, the USA, Hungary). The analysis included winter hardiness, productivity, berry weight, diseases resistance and biochemical compound of berries. As the research results the two introduced varieties Konstantinovskaya and Rachnovskaya were selected. They are characterized by winter hardiness, high yield (11,2-11,6 t/ha), mean fruit weight (0,60 g) and weak affection by fungal diseases
