Non-uniformity of water consumption by beef production depends on quantity of consumed forages and know-how. The superfluous content of ferrum in water leads to infringement of exchange processes in organism and influences on energy of animals growth. The daily norm of water consumption on farms on cattle cultivation and fattening depends on the accepted technological decisions. The water expense in calf-house in the first period makes nearby 16 l on 1 head a day, on drinking are used only 16,5% of the general water consumption; in the second period - about 30 l and on drinking - 46%; in the third period - 24 1 and 57,3%. Potable water submitted from an artesian chink, had the raised content of ferrum salts that negatively influenced on the metabolism processes in organism of young cattle, leading to decrease of daily average gains of body weight on 18-22%
