[Evaluation of cows according to diseases of udder and changes in the qualitative content of milk]

Changes in the content of fat, protein and lactose in milk, as well as of the freezing point and somatic cells level help to classify cows of the main herd into three groups: healthy, not very healthy and ill. The first examination has shown that ill animals amount to 30,9% of cows, not very healthy – 8,5% and healthy – 60,6%. Measures to improve cows health and technology of producing high-quality milk, which resulted in different indicators in comparison with the first have been taken examination. Thus, the number of healthy animals increased by 14,4%, from 60,6% to 75%. Correspondingly, the number of ill cows decreased by 9,3%. Udder diseases diagnostics allowed to reduce losses of cows’ productivity by 1232 kg, or from 25,5% to 5,1%. Control figures showed loss reduction from 2005 to 205 kg, or from 30,6% to 3,1%. Additional produce per each head which was diagnosed and cured amounted to 1800 kg of basic fatness milk
