[To the question of choice of strategy of mechanization for plant growing]

Research results of levels of resource consumption in course of plant products production and processing in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were presented. Comparative analysis of the most effective resource saving methods and technologies of agriculture mechanization was realized. Foreign plowing units (Kverneland DA 100/12) being the part of highly productive tractor (Fendt Favorit 930) showed higher production capacity (4,3ha/hour vs. 2,2 ha/hour) in comparison with the national analogs (MTZ-2522 with plough PPN-8.30/50) but expenditures per work unit in the foreign tractor were in 2,1 time higher (68,4 USD /ha vs. 32,6 USD/ha) that should limit the expediency of foreign analogs application only by economies with high (50 c/ha and higher) yielding capacity. Results of the analysis showed that the highest indices of labor, material and energy resources expenditures saving were in the variant with foreign equipment. In comparison with the national machinery and engineering the foreign engineering provided the economy of 6,2% of labor resources and 8,6% of fuel resources. But variant with foreign machinery was the most cost - based and with a view to ton of grain the operation costs were on 15,1% higher due to the increasing cost of foreign engineering
