The concentration of sulfadimidine in plasma, blood and erythroytes of normal and hepatically impaired buffalo calves was measured following single iv dose @ 100 mg/kg. The minimm effective concentration of drug in plasma was maintained up to 12 hr in both the groups. Peak concentrations of free and total sulfadimidine in both the groups were comparable. Peak level of total drug in crythrocytes of both groups was at 0.04 hr which declined rapidly at 0.5 hr. It suggests that single dose of sulfadimidine provides concentration sufficiently high to be effective in controlling diseases.
