Pereliminary evaluation and yield comparison on selected common millet (Panicum milliaceum) genotypes

160 selected genotypes of common millet were evaluated in an alfa. Lattice design with two replication at karaj research station in 1384. Each replication consisted of 10 incomplete block and each block consisted of 16 treatments. Data were recorded on several traits during different growth stages. Results showed significant difference among genotypes for grain and biological yields, plant height, tiller number, days to flowering and panicule length at 0.01 and 0.05 probability levels. The genotypes 83 showed the highest grainal biological values among all genotypes. The genotypes 110, 146, 74 and 139 were also showed the highest values fo tiller number, plant height, panicule lergth and days to flowering, respectively.
