In order to identify high yieldingL Stress tolerant and adaptable varieties of bread wheat genotypes for warm and semi-warm dryland areas of countryL this study was conducted on 216 genotypes of bread wheat through preliminary and advanced bread wheat yield trials including 8 Experiments (A1-A8) 2005-2006 wheat growing season in Khorramabad Agricultural Dryland Research Stations. The PWYT performed observational and without replication but A1-A8 trials conducated through RCB design with 3 replications consequently. During the growing season datas were recorded from some agronomical and morphophysiological traits such as early vigourL PLHL DHEL DMAL grain yield and its components and reaction to YR and LR. In PWYTL new genotypes were compared with check varieties Zagros and Maroon through a bar diagram but in other trials simple analysis of variance was performed on grain yield and mean comparisons was done through LSD method. Selection was done on PWYT based on grain yield and field appearance. Some genotypes which outyielded from Zagros variety and possessed good agronomical traits were selected. In advansed yield trials only a few genotypes outyielded comparing with check variety Zagros or Kohdasht. These results again lead us to develop our gentic materials resourses and improve our local crossing programs.
