In recent decade intensification of industrial growth in developing countries had adverse effects on environment specially soil and water. This study was conducted to evaluate effects of industrial solid waste precipitation from air, 20 km around huge steel companies in Esfahan, Iran. Several points was sampled in two 20 km transects around each factory. Soil sampling was from different depth and plant samples were taken from Wheat, Rice, Vine and Alfalfa roots and above ground parts. Results showed that Cu and Mn concentration in soil was above normal range and Pb, Cd and Zn was in critical range.Total and available heavy metals decreased with distance from industrial area. In both zone, available and total concentration of all heavy metals decreased with depth of soil.Decreasing of available and total of heavy metals with soil depth and distance from factory is showing that the source of this element is solid waste of steel factory precipitation from air and nonmobile in soil depth of this element in virgin soil. Studied metals accumulation in plants tissue showed that 1-in rice root, shoot and kernel Mn accumulation was above normal range and Cd and Pb concentration had critical value in all samples, Cu in root(zone 2) and Zn in shoot(zone 2) had critical concentration. 2- Cd concentration in some samples in all area(roots and shoots) and Pb in alfalfa (roots)(area 1)were above normal range.3- In wheat(roots and shoots)Pb concentration was observed in zone 2. 4- In vine samples(shoots), Mn accumulation in all area was observed in all above ground parts of plant and Cd, Cu and Pb concentration in this samples were above critical level.Washed plant samples in both region in compare to unwashed samples had lower amount of mesured metals that showing the air pollution and precipitation heavy metals in surface of soil in these areas.
