In order to investigate stability of the Bt gene in the T1 generation of transgenic cottons, seeds of T0 generation, transformed by Agrobacterium method, were analysed by PCR, Southern and Western blot. Seed samples from 5 transgenic lines along with seeds from non transgenic as control were used. Southern blot hybridization indicated a integration of two and one copy of the gene in lines 61 and 17 in the T1, respectivity. The results showed that all transgenic plants were fertile and no any irregular behaviors in growth and other triats were observed. Expression of CryIAb protein at the transgenic plants was also confirmed by western blot analysis. Experiments using bollworm larve a feeding on cotton showed that these transgenic cottons have high resistance feature against boll worm which is the most important pest for cotton in Iran.
