On NARCH, we produce sugar beet Fsub(1) seeds in Hitsujigaoka, Sapporo city Hokkaido. As well known, the weather condition is very important factor for sugar beet seed production. Based on the results of seed production tests and data of weather condition in Hitsujigaoka from 2001 to 2005, the effect of weather condition for seed production were investigated with correlation analysis. As a result, the significant correlations were obtained between temperature and seed production characteristics, such as seed amount, the thousand kernel weight or germination rate. For amount of Fl seed, a lot of day and high integrated temperature between stickling planted time and flowering time of seed parent were well effect on the amount of Fsub(1) seed. For thousand kernel weight, high mean temperature between flowering time of seed parents and harvesting time decrease the weight, on the contrary, low mean temperature increase the weight. For germination rate, the mean temperature between flowering time and harvesting time was very important. When the mean temperature in this period was low, germination rate clearly decrease. There was not so clear to determine the lower limit temperature, however under the condition lower than 19 deg C, the germination rate might decrease.
