The aim of this presented work was to evaluate the influence of composts obtained from plywood waste and post-use wood waste on growth and evolution of S. purpurea L. willow seedlings. The work consisted in growing willow in pots filled with mineral soil mixed, in various proportions, with the tested composts, end evaluation of growth and evolution of plants during vegetation. The strongest evolution and increase in height were observed in plants set into substrata consisting of soil and compost obtained from industrial exterior plywood waste glued with phenol-form-aldehyde resin. These substrata were characterized by a medium content of nitrogen in the form of nitrates
