In the exact field experiment were investigated the effects of nitrogen fertilization rates (0, 30, 60, 90 kg N/ha) and row spacing (12, 24, 36 and 48 cm) on the development of structural yielding components and the perennial ryegrass seed yield and its quality. The number of generative tillers in the first and the second year of full use was greatest when perennial ryegrass was fertilized with the rate 90 kg N/ha. At this nitrogen rate the number of seeds per ear in the first and the second year was the greatest. The row spacing of 24 appeared to be most favourable to the formation of generative tillers. The seed yield was relatively low and in the best objects did not exceed 5.66 dt/ha
