The content of mineral nitrogen has been determined in soil of a long-term field experiment, with sprinkler irrigation applied. The soil samples were taken from four layers in spring and after each of four grass regrowth. The nitrogen fertilizer rates ranged 120 to 360 kg/ha. Some objects were partly fertilized with liquid manure. The fertilization level has a significant effect on the N-NO2 content in whole soil profile. The applied liquid manure did not intense observed during the most intense plant growing, and the lowest before and after the growing season
