Immunology of avian reproduction - selected problems
1999
Furowicz, A.J. | Czernomysy-Furowicz, D.,Szczecin Agricultural University (Poland). Dept. of Immunology and Microbiology
The immunological influences on reproduction extend to number of aspects, including response of the foetus to antigens and micropathogens, the exchange of immunoglobulins between the mother and new-born animal, the maintenance of pregnancy and faults in embryonic development of the lymphoid system (Clough et al. 1998, Ewert 1987, Furowicz et al. 1998, Outteridge 1985). A detailed description of all these aspects is not possible in the space of one paper, but selected problems of importance are discussed from the point of view of possible practical importance in the management of the neonatal animal
