A series of single-factor field experiments was made in 2003-05 which aimed providing a comparison of the effect of foliar application of fertilizers containing magnesium and microelements-Sonata and the fertilizer containing also nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium-Symfo-vita, on the yields of winter wheat, corn, sugar beet, potato, carrot, parsley and leek. Crop yields obtained as affected by the fertilizers used were frequently significantly higher than the yields of unfertilized crops. An average increase in yields due to the application of Sonata ranged from 85 kg/ha of wheat grain to 1950 kg/ha of carrot roots
