The paper presents results of field research on the effect of varying methods of soil conservation which was lied fallow on some structure indices. The experiment factors were: A-system of fallow conservation: 1 - fallow without sowing, overgrowing with weeds and self-seedlings, 2 - fallow without sowing - using Roundup, 3 - fallow with mixture of red clover and perennial ryegrass, B-method of field cultivation (1-mown swaths stays in the field, 2- field without mowning). Soil samples were collected in every year of fallowing at the end of vegetation from three depths: 0-10, 10-20, 20-30 cm. The fallow seeds with the mixture noted for the highest index of soil cloddiness. The properest for soil structure was fallow with herbicide
