Yield quality of wild thyme (Thymus serpyllum L.) herb in cultivation condition

The aim of the studies was to determine the yield and quality of herb of 3 wild thyme populations in ex situ conditions. The raw materials collected ex situ and in situ were compared in respect of the content and chemical composition of essential oil as well as the content of flavonoids and polyphenolic acids. The obtained results in dilate that wild thyme into cultivation may a source of raw material of high quality. The herb obtained from cultivation was characterized by higher content of essential oil and flavonoids in comparison with that collected from natural sites. The content of essential oil in ex situ obtained raw material ranged from 0.65 percent to 0.77 percent and the content of flavonoids from 12.00 to 13.00 percent
