The purpose of the project is to show the need to test sprayers in conformity with European Standard EN 13790, which is one of the pre-requisites for controlled application of pesticides and production of healthy safe foods. The assignment defines the procedure for testing sprayers which will be in conformity with the above-mentioned norm, outlines a model for regional testing and analysis, and recommends the equipment to be used in testing. The study gives particular focus to nozzles which are as external elements of sprayers of particular interest. Only good nozzles can provide spraying of pesticide, and only quality spraying will reduce pollution of land and waterways. Comparative analyses are made of nozzles of the same type, and different manufacturing and materials for the purpose of showing the importance of their regular inspection. The results in testing nozzles confirm the necessity of regular inspection regarding their accuracy, as well as the need to purchase nozzles with proven quality. The recommendations Procedure for testing sprayers, regional management nets, equipment and scales which are pre-requisites for inspection together with the results of the analyses of nozzles result in all necessary conditions for implementing regular inspections of sprayers in practice.
