The subject of this study is the artificial stand of spruce established at the site of montane beech forest in the area of Cemernik, MU Kacer- Zelenicje, Serbia. This paper presents the results of the detailed research of the site characteristics and the stand state. The proposal of the optimal silvicultural operations in this artificial stand is based on the study results.
