The paper discusses the results of fractioning wheat seed material. In each of the seed fractions obtained (2.20, 2.50, 2.80, and 3.00 mm), the following traits were studied: 1,000-seed weight, germination energy, germinability, and the number of seeds per one kilogram of processed seed by cultivar and fraction. Three wheat cultivars from two locations were used in the test. The results showed that the location in which the seed crop was produced played a part in determining the percentage contributions of individual seed fractions to the whole of the seed material. Also, the fractionation of the seed made the 1,000-seed weight (c.v. is less than 4) more uniform across the fractions in both locations.
