The paper gives an analysis of the epizootic situation in respect of diphyllobothriosis in the region of the Votkinsky reservoir located in the territory of the Perm Krai. For the investigation there have been caught 112 pikes, 68 pike-perches, 14 eelpouts, 301 perches and 56 ruffs. The invasion extensity (IE) of the pike was 100% with intensity (II) from 2 to 58 individuals, the eelpout 100% and 18.6 ind., the perch – 9.6% and the ruff – 14.3% with II – 1 ind., respectively. As is found, the invasiveness of fish enhances with advancing age. The sanitary ecological state of the reservoir directly depends on the level of anthropogenic stress. So, located in its water area a health resort Ust-Kachka is a stable focus of diphyllobothriosis promoting the transmission of helminthozoonosis over the other rivers in the Urals and Siberia, as well as in the Kirov Region and Udmurtia. Human diphyllobothriosis is second after ascariasis in the Perm Krai. The high level of incidence of the human population is connected with fish consumption which is the main food. The quality and ecological safety of fish for the consumer depends on its technological processing, contamination degree and veterinary-sanitary examination of fish products in the places of its procurement, storage and sale.
