Comparatively there was studied the efficacy of a new antioxidant Nivet and an antioxidant premix for toxic dystrophy of broiler chickens caused by feeding them with oxidized food. Nivet was composed of vitamin E, vitamin C, methionine, sodium selenite and potassium orotate; its analog – antioxidant premix – the same, but without potassium orotate. According to the experimental design one part of broiler chickens received oxidized food + Nivet, the other one – oxidized food + antioxidant premix, on the basis of 63.5 g per 100 kg of food, the control received conventional food containing 6% of fat. By the result of biochemical studies it was found that in the broiler chickens received oxidized food + Nivet there was observed a reduction of MDA in brain tissues by 76.2%, in liver – b y 28.2%, in blood serum – by 4.37% and hydroperoxide of lipids – by 25% compared to the control, and by 40.11%, 16.71%, 5.82, respectively with the chickens received oxidized food and antioxidant premix. In the control group there were the highest indices of peroxidation of lipids with clinical signs of toxic dystrophy in 90% of chickens. It is concluded that the addition to the diets of Nivet promotes activating the antioxidant of the organism and changing the formation of peroxidation products of lipids. It is recommended for application at poultry plants to prevent and treat toxic dystrophy in young poultry.
