The ways to form climax (sustainble) forests are suggested. A stable water regime, etioled forest stand prophylaxis, increase of available soil moisture and forest yield, determination of cutting intensivity according the rest of trees (and not the number of cutted tress), tapered type of medium trees are needed for this aim. Hydrophysical wood parameters are important for express estimation and forecasting of forest species conditions. The complex estimative index (CEI) is used to compare climax and normal forests and this is a ratio between tree height and basal area. Climax forests (regardless of tree species) at the age of 20, 30, 50, 70 and 100 years have small density and CEI with value of 4.0; 3.5; 3.5; 2.0 Average CEI values of normal forests ate 20.7; 12.3;6.6; 4.5 and 3.2 for this ages respectively, it means that normal forests are too much etiolated. The increase of spacing due to in-time thinnings allows to reduce wood moisture variations. The creation of forest stands with maximal phytomass per area unit has to be refused. It is far-sighted to grow certainly sustainable forests thinning intensively to establish good conditions for the rest trees. It is possible to hold the system given above in 15-20% of Russian forest fund.
