The imperative, the main quality and the permanent feature of selection forests is their heterogeneousness consciously created by man, and tries to maintain by continuous operation of management procedures (selection management). Control Method is one of the most reliable methods of management planning in the selection forests which are managed intensively. The variety elaborated in our conditions is named Goc variety and it was applied on Mt. Tara in 1960 by Professor Dr. Dragomir Milojkovic. The effects of the application of the Goc variety of the Control Method on Mt. Tara (40) years are presented on the example of the management class 491/1.
