This paper presents the possibility of agroecosystems protection and increment of forest cover through the windbreak shelterbelt network establishment in Ada municipality (Serbia). Basic climatic factors and the soil characteristics are analyzed as a basis for choice of adequate tree and shrub species. Seven models of windbreak shelterbelts are presented through construction elements such are width of shelterbelt, shape of cross cut, width of inter rows, distance between trees in rows and composition of tree and shrub species. In this paper is presented percentage of tree species and distribution of windbreak shelterbelts network through entire area of municipality which will create more sustainable agroecosystems and increase forest area for 2.95%.
