Good beekeeping practice condition for better honey quality production

This work explains the conditions related to honey production - apiary location, the premises for extracting and packing honey, beekeeping equipment. The work describes legal standards which deal with this sensitive line of production in beekeeping and current conditions description according to the analysis of a survey of primary producers. Based on the results of the survey 34.70% of participation have excellent conditions in their extracting and packing premises, 20.55% posses stainless steel extractor, and 40.34% wear complete protective equipment during honey processing. It is also established that 58.18% of surveyed participants use lids that had already been used and that 56.39% use large quantity storage barrels that had been used before. The results of the survey justify the necessity of establishing a quide for proper beekeeping conduct as a preventive measure aiming at higher standards in honey production.
