For their life and activity, the honey bees need protein and energy, minerals and vitamins. The main particularity of bees is that the protein needs are the highest in the larval and pupal period and during the first days of imago stage. In order stages honey bee requires mostly energy sources in a form of simple sugars, because their needs are very high when they collect nectar, pollen and water. During the feed digestion bee uses specific enzymes, characteristic for a particular life stage. Enzymatic systems are different in working bees, queen and trut.
