The possibilities of electro-hydraulic control system by the fuzzy controller application

This paper presents the possibility to control the electro-hydraulic system by the fuzzy controller application. An equivalent linear fuzzy controller was designed based on the classical PID controller. The present paper contains a design approach, which used a classical PID controller as a starting point. The characteristic parameters of controllers were optimized by a pattern search and a genetic algorithm optimization method. The efectiveness of this control scheme was verified in relation to that of a classical PID control by a simulation. A previous design procedure of the fuzzy controller was replaced with a self-organized (self-learning) procedure, based on applying a second order reference model and a sensitivity model. In order to achieve this, a function block of the self-learning fuzzy controller, presented in literature, was applied.
