Intensive agriculture production is followed by soil compaction. Consequences of soil compaction are associated with unfavourable process in sphere of chemical, physical and microbiological soil properties. To lessen these negative effects it is necessary to measure and detect compaction intensity of soil layers and suggest appropriate agronomic measures. There are several possible solutions such as timing of primary tillage and seedbed preparation, application of organic fertilizers and rotation of crops. According to the contemporary investigations conducted in Serbia, crops which follow sugar beet is consider to be most exposed to the soil compactness condition.
