The most often perennial weeds in orchards and vineyards in Serbia are Cirsium arvense, Cynodon dactylon, Agropyron repens, Convolvulus arvensis, Sorghum halepens and Sonchus arvensis. With the aim of perennial weeds control in orchards and vineyards predominantly are applied agricultural practices such as hand tillage and mulching. Due to the susceptibility of young plantations to herbicides, chemical treatments are not applied until plants age of four. Herbicide use is made preventively, with soil herbicides and curative, with foliar herbicides.
