Fourty-two most frequent aquatic weed species of the Bardaca complex are described. Of this number, 8 species belong to the category of submersed, 14 to floating and 20 to the category of emersed plants. They fall into 24 families and most of the species belong to: Lemnaceae, Potamogetonaceae, Cyperaceae and Poaceae. Taxonomic, ecological and phytogeographic characteristics of weeds with the highest frequency of occurrence are presented. The biological spectrum shows a clearly cryptophytic floristic character, including two life forms: cryptophytes (38 plant species or 90.48%) and hemicryptophytes (4 plant species or 9.52%). Among the cryptophytes, aquatic helo-hydrophytes account for 55.26% (21 plant species) and geophytes for 44.74% (17 plant species). The geographic plant diversity comprises 8 floral elements with most species belonging to the widespread floristic groups.
