Development of mixed spruce, fir and beech stand ten years after snow damage

The paper deals with assessment of mixed spruce-fir-beech stand development on the research plot Stará Píla ten years after snow damage. The extent of the snow dam age was compared in relation to tree species and development of the trees of selective quality. The attention was especially paid to the expected development of a damaged stand with respect to the potential to achieve of both tree species composition and production goals. It is concluded that in spite of snow damage an achievement of the tree species and production goals should not be endangered on studied plots.
