Objectives of the study of Biodiversity of Algae in Koh Kred, Nonthaburi were to investigate the fresh water algae in Koh Kred, Nonthaburi province regarding their Morphology, Taxonomy, some Ecological aspects and their distribution. This study was conducted for one year, from July 2001 to May 2002. A totle of number of 28 sampling sites. The algae consisted of 5 Division 5 Classes 11 Orders 26 Families 58 Genera : Division Chlorophyta 23 genera, Division Chrysophyta 17 genera Division Cyanophyta 11 genera Division Euglenophyta 6 genera and Division Pyrrophyta 1 genera. Results of parameters for the water quality were as follows. For the physical and chemical parameters, pH: 7-8, Conductivity: 0.5-1.2 mS/cm, Terbidity: 77.25-271.75 NTU, DO : 1.34-5.67 mg/l, water temperature : 22.47-31.75 deg C and Salinity : 0.02-0.05 percent. The distributions in different month were recorded for 58 genera. The algae was recorded in July 28 genera September 30 genera November 18 genera January 31 genera March 26 genera May 47 genera respectively. The genera of algae that most frequently found in the studied was Navicula, Trachelomonas, Phacus, Euglena and Oscillatoria.
