Intoxication with poison hemlock (Conium maculatum L.) in animals

The poison Hemlock is a widely spread toxic plant. With regard to the hogh incidence of intoxicatopns in men and animals caused by this plant, an overniew of literature upon its botanic features, distribution, seasonal dynamics, toxic substances, the mechanism of toxic action, species-related sensiyivity, clinical signs, blood laboratory altertions, the principles of diagnostics and treatment and the prevention of poison Hemlock intoxication in animals was performed.
