[Characterization of ligninolytic activity of sod-podzolic loam sand soil]

As experimental data have shown, ligninolytic activity makes an informative biochemical soil characteristic. Soil polyphenoloxidases and peroxidases play an important role in carbon cycle. Ligninolytic activity quantitatively characterizes the intensity of lignines humification. Close correlations between peroxidases activities (P ≥ 0.05, r2 = 0.87- 0.96), polyphenoloxidases activities (P ≥ 0.05, r2 = 0.80 - 0.85) and total organic carbon content were established. The gradations of ligninolytic activity of Luvisol loam sand soil in dependence on total organic carbon content were developed
