Potential of line varieties of winter oilseed rape within organic growing technology

Ten commonly grown line varieties in the Czech Republic were tested using extensive organic growing technology. These varieties were evaluated for the occurrence of fungal diseases by ripening and seed yield. The varieties Caracas, Ontario, Liprima, Cando and Manitoba showed a high resistance against Phoma lingam, whereas the varieties Ontario, Smart and Oponent were resistant against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. The highest yields were produced by the varieties Caracas, Manitoba and Ontario. These varieties can be recommended for organic growing.
