Field experiments were conducted during summer season of 1997 -98 and 1998-99 to study the effect of nitrogen (0, 60, 120 and 180 kg/ha) and potassium (0,40,80 and 120 kg/ha) levels on hybrid rice under the prevailing agro-climatic condition of Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The results indicated that the combined application of 120 kg N and 80 kg K2O per ha proved to be most remunerative and economical in hybrid rice `6201'. This treatment recorded a net profit of Rs. 11294/ha with highest benefit: cost ration of 1.44.
