The scheme envisaged working out the harvesting stages of cut-flowers (rose, gladiolus and carnation), chemical formulation to enhance the shelf-life, ethylene sensitivity, to investigate conditions for short term and prolonged refrigerated storage of flowers, and to study the quality of cut blooms after simulated transport.
