Anatomical studies of the Irano- Turanian woody plants.

In Iran, There are a large number of trees and shrubs which no body studied their anatomical features. The irano-torani zone is one of the most important area that covered the center, west, and some east of Iran. In this study sampling from the mentioned were taken, and for IAWA method, anatomic study and also For physical properties, ASTM standard method were used. The fiber length of Quercus brantii subsp persica, Pistacia atlantica Subsp mutica, Fraxinus rotundifolia Subsp rotundifolia, Acer monspessulanum Subsp Cineracens, Crataegus azarulus, Platanus orientalis, Cerasus mahaleb and Juniperus excelsa were measured at 865, 632, 879, 678, 579, 1081, 967, 1295. Micron and oven-dry density was measured at 0.666, 0.753, 0.642, 0.704, 0.564, 0.477, 0.555, and 0.466 respectively.
